Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and MYRIADLOOP PTE. LTD. for your use of the Hush Messenger app and this website. Please read them before you use Hush.

In short

Use Hush lawfully and don't use it to harm anyone. Keep your 6-digit codes safe — we cannot recover a chat if you lose its code. Subscriptions are billed and cancelled through Apple or Google, not by us. Hush hides the existence of conversations on your device; it is not a guarantee of secrecy against every possible adversary, and we say so plainly below.

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hush Messenger ("Hush", "the app"), or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Hush. Your use of Hush is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we handle and why.

These Terms are between you and MYRIADLOOP PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore ("we", "us", "our"). They are not an agreement with Apple or Google, although your download and any purchases are also subject to the rules of the app store you used.

2. Who may use Hush

You may use Hush only if you can form a binding contract with us under the laws that apply to you, and only where the law allows it. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use Hush only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you where you live and where you use the app.

3. Your account and your codes

Creating a Hush account requires a username. You do not need to provide a phone number. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for everything that happens through your account.

Your codes are yours to keep safe. Hush opens conversations using 6-digit codes that you choose. We do not store those codes in a form that lets us recover them for you, and there is no reset link or recovery email. If you forget a code, the conversation behind it cannot be opened again — not by you, and not by us. This is a deliberate part of how Hush works, not a fault.

Do not share your codes with anyone you do not intend to give access to. Anyone who knows a code and has your unlocked device can open the conversation behind it.

4. Acceptable use

Hush exists so that ordinary people can keep ordinary conversations private. You agree not to use Hush to:

We may suspend or terminate access to Hush if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, if we are required to do so by law, or if continuing to provide the service would create a serious risk to other people.

5. Subscriptions, free trials, and payment

Hush is free to download and use. Some features require a paid subscription. Our standard plans are a 1-month subscription at US$9.99 and a 1-year subscription at US$49.99, each with a 7-day free trial. Prices may vary by country and may change over time; the price shown in the app at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.

Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. Requests go to Apple or Google under their refund policies.

6. What Hush protects, and what it does not

We would rather be plain about this than let the word "secret" do work it hasn't earned. Hush is built for one specific problem: someone picking up your unlocked phone and scrolling. It opens to a keypad, with no conversation list to browse and no names on display.

Hush is invisibility, not encryption. It protects the existence of a conversation from a person holding your device. It is not designed to defeat a network operator, a forensic examination of the device, a court order, or anyone with your codes. It does not make you anonymous — an account without a phone number is pseudonymous, not untraceable.

Nothing in these Terms, in the app, or on this website is a promise that a conversation cannot be discovered by any means. If you face a serious threat to your safety, please do not rely on Hush alone.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Hush available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or withdraw parts of Hush over time. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will give notice through the app or by other reasonable means.

Messages are stored on your device. As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not retain your messages in the ordinary course of providing the service. You are responsible for your own device, and for the consequences of losing, resetting, or replacing it.

8. Ending your use of Hush

You may stop using Hush at any time by deleting the app, and you may delete your account and its stored connections at any time using our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription — cancel that through Apple or Google.

We may suspend or end your access in the circumstances described in section 4, or if we discontinue the service.

9. Disclaimers

Hush is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Hush will be error-free, that it will meet your requirements, or that any conversation will remain undiscovered.

You are responsible for the content you send and receive, and for your interactions with other people on Hush.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MYRIADLOOP PTE. LTD. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, messages, goodwill, or profits, arising from or connected to your use of Hush.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts — in which case that right is preserved.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will give notice of material changes through the app or by other reasonable means. Continuing to use Hush after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
